Real-Time Temperature, No Guesswork: Precision Welding Starts Here.

With 120+ dB HDR capability in the Short-Wave InfraRed (SWIR) spectrum, the XIR-1800 thermal camera provides detailed imaging of metal joining processes, surpassing what is visible with standard thermal or visible-light cameras.

Gain improved control of your process with real-time thermal measurements in and around the melt pool, covering key melting and transition temperatures for most metals.

Clear, enhanced imaging of the metal joining process

Using the XIR-1800 Thermal Camera and WeldStudio™, you’ll be equipped with a powerful system for improved process development, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.

XIR-1800 Thermal Camera

The XIR-1800 offers 120+ dB HDR imaging in the Short-Wave InfraRed (SWIR) spectrum.

Now, featuring the innovative Cooling Time Tool, it enables real-time t8/5, t12/8, or other cooling time calculations.

This data empowers engineers to make informed decisions during welding or Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) processes.

Main Features of the XIR-1800 Thermal Camera

SWIR Advantage

  • Offers low sensitivity to changes in emissivity necessary for metal thermography.

  • Clearly see through weld fumes better than CMOS or NIR thermal cameras.
  • Capable of temperature measurements from 300 to over 6000°C.

WeldStudio Pro™ Software

  • Extract key measurements using powerful thermal, AI, and machine vision tools.

  • Process and display data in real-time, with digital interfaces such as OPC-UA, Modbus-TCP, Beckhoff-ADS, and more.
  • Record raw data and analyze and review offline.

Easy integration

  • Equipped with a C-Mount for easy configuration or several optics options.

  • Factory calibrated to meet your specific application requirements.
  • Seamless integration with other Xiris weld cameras and camera enhancements such as the WeldMic™.

Cooling time tool

  • First-ever real-time t8/5 or t12/8 cooling time calculation using a thermal camera.

  • Size: 40W x 43H x 66L mm without lens
